Measures of Help hosted the clothing station at the 19th Annual Venice Beach Gospel Crusade Rally. We partnered with Disciples on the Move to assist approximately 400 homeless individuals with clothing and hygiene items. The event was held on August 20, 2016 at Venice Beach (at the intersection of Pacific and Windward Street) from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. We prepared 200 hygiene bags (consisting of soap, deodorant, tooth brush and tooth paste) and rental of 10 clothing racks. During the early morning shift, we sorted, folded, hung clothing items and prepared hygiene bags for the event.
The event was a total success! The homeless were served and ever so grateful for the opportunity to get clean clothing and hygiene items. There were approximately 400 people served that day and everyone who had a need of clothing was serviced. The Measures of Help team did a fabulous job with organizing, hosting and security for this event. Thank you to all who particiapated.
